'The Barn' is a lovely secluded self-catering holiday cottage. This detached artistic barn conversion is at the edge of a small village, Newton-le-Willows. Situated in Lower Wensleydale, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, it is 8 miles south of Richmond and 4 miles west of Bedale (which is well stocked with shops, pubs, swimmimg pool. Tourist Information Centre, golf course)
Secluded and peaceful
This beautiful atmospheric cottage with beams, lies in peaceful countryside with lovely views over the fields towards the village, secluded but not isolated - a perfect hideaway. The Barn stands completely on it's own, at the side of a 6 acre grass field down a good track about 100 yards from the road. There is a small orchard to the side and a wild and pretty garden at the back.
The clear expanse of skies here are brilliant for guests with telescopes.
Plenty of parking space.
Single storey so ideal for small children or people who have difficulty with a lot of stairs.

The Barn sleeps 6 (+cot available) - two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. The large farmhouse kitchen/dining room (19ft long) is very sociable for families, and it has electric cooker, microwave, fridges and a radio.
The Barn is also a great retreat for couples with a cosy sitting room with TV, DVD, puzzles and games, books and local maps fof use for walking or touring the area.
One bathroom, with toilet, hand basin, bath with shower in the bath.
High chair,cot and young children's toys can be provided.
Nearest pub is The Green Tree at Patrick Brompton, just over a mile away. Nearest farm, quarter of a mile away, does teas with home made cakes.
